Moulin de Malecoste was everything we expected and more. The apartment itself is so elegant and perfectly decorated. Fiona and Heather made it all so easy, between local advice on where to go and what to see and even bringing us a couple of beers as we arrived after the stores had closed!
The area is magical and well worth seeing. The closest town of Martel had enough restaurants and sightseeing to keep us occupied each evening.
We spent our days touring different exciting historical villages in the area: Collonges la Rouge, Rocamadour, Turenne, etc.
I highly recommend the area and this fabulous accommodation made it that much more special.

About Your Hosts
Heather & Rad are South Africans who followed a dream to own a property in France., which was realized in 2001 when they found the beautiful 17th Century Mill, “Moulin de Malecoste”. They both love everything about France and travel, always off on another adventure in different parts of the world. The Moulin is a passion for them and an ongoing project, they never get tired of improving, re decorating, changing the garden always with a lot of attention to detail making it a magical place to visit.
They are still based in South Africa therefore they have a very special young lady, Fiona who is the guardian of the Moulin in their absence. Fiona is from England and is as enthusiastic and passionate about the Moulin as Heather and Rad. She is always there with a friendly smile to welcome guests, make sure that their every need is accommodated and willing to help with information, restaurant bookings etc. just a phone call away!

Relaxing in a Heaven of Peace
Fantastic stay in Blanc, a renovated barn with superb taste and beautiful atmosphere. Wonderfully peaceful in beautiful surroundings. Heather & Fiona were very helpful and welcoming.

Impeccable Renovation
The Lot is a glorious region and there are tons of things to see and do. And when you couple this with an absolutley superbly renovagted and converted mill house you've hit a winning formula. Every possible comfort is available and our host and hostess have skimped on nothing - the spaces are generous, the finishes top class and the appointments thoughtful and pleasing to look at. Clean and impeccably run, nothing has been spared here and you are assured of a comfortable stay while you explore this beautiful region - its so comfortable you may even decide not to go out!

We stayed in Blanc. The accommodation is one of the very best we have ever stayed in with everything you would need to make your stay a home from home. Such a tranquil setting and the accommodation is so comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated, and renovated to the highest standard. Perfect in every way.
Fresh fruit, bread, milk, cheese, and local wine on arrival, and fresh bread and croissants were delivered to our door for our first breakfast. Lovely touches.
